Another update: I somehow got the gpu fan working!! It's running now but the game is still crashing when I play it on my discrete gpu :(:(

So I quickly managed to check my gpu in nitro sense before it crashed and the load in the orange text was 100% before the laptop shut down...what could be going on? :(

Yeah but there's no problem while playing games on the vega 8 one so the issue is with the discrete GPU

Another update: this time, I tried to run the game on battery and surprisingly, it doesn't crash now. I'm into the game for well over 5 mins and have these screenshots of performance as well. now it's pretty clear that overheating or the chip is not at fault. Is it a problem with the battery or the charging cord/adapter?

It`s clocked at half of it`s speed that`s why doesn`t overheat...

Ok so what can be done now?

Try at a cool place or with cooling pad to check if it shuts down if not then a good quality paste and thermal pads should be applied.

Ok I'll give it to the service centre and update as and when something comes up! Thank you for the quick replies mate :)

Get thermal grizzly kryonaut and minus pads and tell them to put those.

Ok so I guess the cooling system is malfunctioning as the gpu itself seems to be intact. I'll give it to the acer service centre and update. This will take a while though
