Another update: I somehow got the gpu fan working!! It's running now but the game is still crashing when I play it on my discrete gpu0

So I quickly managed to check my gpu in nitro sense before it crashed and the load in the orange text was 100% before the laptop shut down...what could be going on?0

Yeah but there's no problem while playing games on the vega 8 one so the issue is with the discrete GPU0

Another update: this time, I tried to run the game on battery and surprisingly, it doesn't crash now. I'm into the game for well over 5 mins and have these screenshots of performance as well. now it's pretty clear that overheating or the chip is not at fault. Is it a problem with the battery or the charging cord/adapter?0

It`s clocked at half of it`s speed that`s why doesn`t overheat...

Ok so what can be done now?0

Try at a cool place or with cooling pad to check if it shuts down if not then a good quality paste and thermal pads should be applied.

Ok so I guess the cooling system is malfunctioning as the gpu itself seems to be intact. I'll give it to the acer service centre and update. This will take a while though0
