Win 10 - Aspire VN7 - somehow I ended up having to put in a password when signing in.  Used this laptop for a long time and never had to do so until somehow started to have to do so.

Went up on line and searched how to get rid of password - 3 times.  Found two different ways and followed instructions.  Now when the screen comes up it still asked for password, will not except the one I have used before starting to try to get rid of it.  If I click on the space bar, up pops in the lower left corner of screen two of my names.  If I click on the top one I can input the password and all is fine.

How do I get rid of having to input the password?  Tks - jb

It sounds like you have it setup with two accounts. You likely need to do two things, delete the unneeded account so you no longer need to choose at the login screen, the tell Windows to just login directly to the remaining account. It's possible that wil all happen automatically when you delete the added account.

Billsey, I used this computer for several years without having to input a password - then after and update I needed one.  Went up on line and found two different ways that were suppose to get rid of needing a password but ended up with I guess two accounts now.  I want to get rid of needing a password - I am old and I want others to be able to get into my laptop.
