A few days ago I left it on for about 3 hours without the charger ( so it just powered off due to no battery power I am assuming)
and when I came to turn it on all I saw was a black screen. I switched it on and off several times but all I saw was this black screen.

The next day when I swithed it on I saw the acer explore beyond limits on the screen, and I left it like this for 5 minutes but it was frozen, I then switched it on and off and then I came back to the black screen again.

A few days later when I switched it on I saw the acer explore beyond limits on the screen and I left it for about half an hour or so it tarted loading and it said configuring updates, and now it seems to be working fine.

I just wanted to ask if this black screen thing is likely to happen again, as i literally only used it 3 times, so I dont want it to keep crashing on me. I would also like to know if there is something I need to do to the laptop to stop it happening in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to read this question, I hope you can help!

All the best

    Hi,

    If it happens again do this ;

    • I would suggest you to drain the residual power from the laptop:
      • Disconnect any external peripherals (flash drives, printers, external hard drives) from the computer
      • Then remove the adapter
      • Remove the battery
      • Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds
      • Reconnect the battery and the adapter  and bootup you computer
