Hello, my Helios 300 is experiencing a problem where the charging of the laptop goes on and off. This problem only happened recenly (August 13, 2020 around 11am UTC+8). I started to notice the problem after a windows update prompted me to restart. When I was playing Apex I noticed my frames were dropping and the beep for the charging was constantly heard. The problem starts when the battery is charged to 75% onwards, anywhere below is fine. Ive had this laptop for about 2 years and this is the first time I have experienced this problem. Thankyou for the help!

Wafuuu so this started to happen after you had a windows update try to find out which and uninstall it also disable windows from updating drivers/firmware or even completely they will break more than they really fix only update whatever u need ehne u need so and manually also never start any game before you have the battery 100% charged and always on AC never on battery only also check your battery wear with hwinfo or battery bar pro if more than 20% consider replacing it as its faulty and calibrate your battery once every 3/6 months depending on the usage gaming laptops as any other with internal battery but especially gaming should be properly maintained  good luck :)

Also, the interval of the on and off seems to be 10-40 seconds on then 5-10 seconds off, ive also noticed that the duration when the charge is on becomes less and less as time goes on.

I tried to uninstall some of the updates, others could not be uninstalled. After a restart I noticed that instead of 75% it was now 84% before the issue would happen. I followed a suggestion while searching where you drain the battery then full charge it. After a few tries it seemed to work and it kept on improving. After a good amount of rinse and repeats the problem has gone away and my laptop is now running normaly again without any charging problems. I also checked my battery wear with hwinfo and apparently my battery wear is at 21%. Which means I guess i need to find a replacement battery soon, which is unfortunate because in my place covid cases are still high making it difficult to look for one.

Thanks @xapim for helping, really appreciate the advice!
