Hello! So I've had my nitro 5 for about 3 weeks now. I noticed last week that the orange light on the side blinks (1 second blink followed by a 3 second space). I read other threads and found out that this means that there is a problem with the battery, however my laptop's battery shows no problems. I am getting the average ~4 hour battery life. Is there a way that I can re-calibrate my laptop battery? If necessary, could I return my nitro 5 even if though I have installed an aftermarket SSD? Thanks!

bump. There is still the blinking orange light.

I read that there was a reset I could do where I hold the power button for around 14 seconds. I have done that but the light still blinks. When I did that reset, upon boot up the backlit keyboard would light up and then turn off twice before the acer logo popped on screen. That is what is supposed to happen on the reset correct?

In regards to the battery, I have not noticed any change in lifespan. It still lasts roughly 4 to 4 1/2 hours and charges to 100%.

Is there another forum that may be able to give insight to this blinking orange light?
