  • I had a problem similar to yours after downloading the latest update from windows 10! On my notebook, the scroll bar has stopped working! I solved the problem by uninstalling and deleting the driver in the device manager:

Then restart the computer and see if the problem is solved! Then download the driver again from the Acer website.

    Hi Sezec

After  Windows 10 update, your laptop touchpad doesn’t work: can’t drag, point or right-click. Various reasons could lead to Touchpad not working, such as “Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service” is disabled or your touchpad driver is outdated.

3 Methods to Fix Touchpad Not Working after Windows 10 Update

You could try below 3 troubleshooting methods to enable your  touchpad after Windows 10 update.

    1. Press the Fn+ F6/F7 function button to enable your touchpad

Touchpad sometimes may be disabled. You could press the function button to enable the Touchpad. Normally, the function button is one of the Fn + F6/or Fn+ F7 keys. Try this and check if touchpad is responding.

    2. Modify the touchpad setting in Device Manager

If Method 1 fails, you could open Setting Menus, select Devices > Mouse & touchpad > Additional mouse options. Then click Device Settings tab, and click Enable to enable your touchpad after the Mouse Properties window appears.

    3. If steps 1 and 2 do not fix then follow the next steps.

    • On Start , search for Device Manager, and select it from the list of results. Under Mice and other pointing devices, select your touchpad, open it, select the Driver tab, and select Update Driver. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, look for one on https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers   and follow their instructions.

    • If those steps didn't work, try uninstalling your touchpad driver: open Device Manager, right-click (or press and hold) the touchpad driver, and select Uninstall. Restart your device and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

    • If that didn't work, try using the generic driver that comes with Windows. Here's how: in Device Manager, right-click (or press and hold) your touchpad driver > Update driver software... > Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, select HID compliant mouse, select Next, and follow the instructions to install it.   Please let me know if this fixes your issue
