I just bought an NVMe M.2 SSD from crucial as it was suggested to support my laptop Nitro 5 an515-43. But even after updating bios to the latest version my SSD is not shown in the bios.

I received a replacement SSD and it is working. So it must be that the previous one is defective.

The one near to RAM slot. It was written something like M.2, there was another one near to the hard disk which was written SATA, I tried the first one first later i tried with the SATA one, because i saw some posts saying it can have backward compatibility with SATA, but it also didnt work.

The one near the RAM supports NVMe and the other one is SATA only, what is the SSD model?

This one should work on the slot near the RAM, could you try the SSD in other PC/Laptop?
    Maybe the SSD  is defective...

I dont have any other device to check it, But i have already applied for replace in Amazon.
In System Information in Windows Components->Storage->SCSI->Standard NVM Express Controller Status=Error
In Device Manager under Storage Controller It was showing something like NVM but with yellow indication.

But in BIOS it was showing nothing at the same time.

Well when is not shown in BIOS then either the MB is faulty(which is rare) or the SSD is dead on arrival.

OK, i ll find a way to check if the SSD is working. I only have to return when they come with new one., so i have time to check.
