Current ram spec:
Part no: ACR26D4S9S8MH-8, Kingston 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 PC4-21300 non-ECC Unbuffered 260-Pin Single Rank 1.2V CL19 SoDIMM OEM Laptop Memory

Bought new ram spec:
Part no: KVR26S19S8/8, Kingston 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL19 *PC4-2666* LAPTOP RAM

Laptop struck at blank screen with keyboard lights on when running on the new ram alone and also both ram installed. Do I need update bios settings as our laptop cannot take in
2666MHz? The difference I can see is PC4-2666 vs PC4-21300.

Or what other acceptable ram model are compatible with the default Part no: ACR26D4S9S8MH-8 ram?

Thanks in Advance!

HI the model on msinfo is G3-572. Yes i tested the new ram alone on both slots. same results. either the ram is faulty or not compatible. i only have 1 laptop, too bad on my side. Does acer provide a list acceptable ram model?

fxster most probably the ram its faulty and bare in mind when upgrading ram the laptop will reboot 3/5 times with black screen to auto adjust the timmings/cl in the mobo bios and my advice its to forget the stock ram you wont be able to match the stock ram with any they are oem ram made for manufacturers only they arent available for consumer to buy (unless bought directly from an acer parts partner) you might find similar but not the same only way to exactly match it its to buy a used from someone else never mix ram from different size/clock/cl and if youre upgrading get some hyperx or vengeance dual channel set 2400mhz 16gb minimum either 2x8 or 2x16 because im pretty sure your cpu its 7th gen all g3-572 are 7th gen i5/i7 will only support 2400 and yes you might find it weird why the stock 8gb sodimm that acer sent its clocking at 2666 but thats because the clock was manually increased on factory before the bios was locked and all bios locked any other sodimm will downclock to the default 2400mhz supported by the cpu as the ryzen and 7th gen cpus only support 2400mhz (check intel specs) and good luck :)

can i mix the brand? https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/predator-g3-572

this brand lists the ram model workable with my laptop g3-572. So it will be kingston with crucial brand running dual channel.
