I got an Acer Aspire V 15 Touch, it worked for a bit but when i was playing a game the computer froze. I turned it off and turned it back on again and it got stuck on the loading screen. I left it on over night but when i woke up i was still on the loading screen.

Things i've tried:

Going to the bios menu and setting it to legacy, but it still gets stuck on the loading screen and sometimes says not bootable device.

I've tried setting bios back to defaults.
It still gets stuck on the loading screen

Sometimes it will say preparing automactic repair and then go to a black screen

I've tried many other things but nothing worked.

Sometimes theres an HDD model name and then sometimes its gone. I go to boot and sometimes i'll see an HDD0 with some numbers and letters or it will just say HDD:

If someone could help that would be nice.
Thank you

Post a phone shot of the BIOS Information tab if possible. The BIOS must remain in UEFI mode, not legacy, or there is a risk of losing everything on the HDD.  Jack E/NJ

    heres the info tab
  • If the hard drive is disappearing in the bios, I suggest that you disconnect the hard drive and the sata cable from the motherboard and then connect them again:

Yes, you probably just need to reseat HDD connectors a half dozen or so times to clean its contacts. Often happens when conditions are warm and humid for an extended period. Jack E/NJ

Remove 17 screws from base cover. Pry cover off starting from the speaker ports. Disconnect and remove battery pack. Then remove the HDD cable's  mainboard connector. Lift the HDD out and reseat the other end of the cable a few times to help clean the contacts. Then nest the HDD back in the laptop. And reseat the mainboard connector a few times to help clean its contacts. Then button it back up. Good luck. Jack E/NJ
