Good evening all, I have been trying to fit both green rams (both 8gb) in my laptop but only one would fit! The only thing that fits the second slot is the black one. Please help. 😢😢

Rick2015 the black sodimm its smaller than the universal sodimms size thats why doesnt require much to fit it in place you need to push it into the slot and lock it down u wont break anything sometimes might appear youre pushing too hard but thats because the clamps are really tight which its good because youre really sure the ram its properly secured in place i wouldnt worry much about it just push it into place and leave it  :)

Hello brummyfan2, what do you mean by number of the modules?

I don’t know what you are saying so I took a picture of it, anyway the one I was trying to insert is the green one (kingston 8gb DDR4 2666 mhz). I do not know the other one since it was the default ram when I bought my laptop. I was trying to do a 2 of 8gb rams of same unit.

    Hi,
Could you please removing the one in the laptop and post the picture of the label, also try inserting the 8GB Kingston module(green) in that slot but insert it carefully and inspect whether you could see any bent pins in the module, I suspect a bent pin may be the cause of physical obstruction.

As you can see in the first picture all the pins seems fine, second picture, The black ram (4gb 2400mhz) when I removed and inserted it again, it fits like a magic, meanwhile (last picture) the one that I recently bought does not fit into the slot, if I push it gently it does not budge and you could see the thing that holds the ram it kind of blocks it a little bit. And also the thing I saw is when I inserted the 8gb it’s middle does not fit perfectly inside the slot.

Rick2015 Well this situation its very awkward to me makes absolutely no sense i have never seen anything like it  as it should fit perfectly on any laptop as the slots are universal on all just bare in mind u need to push the ram into the slot until its properly inserted and then push down for the clamps to hold it

I am pushing the ram into the slot but it kind of feels that I am going to break something, but when I insert the black ram it just fits perfectly with minimal force.
