    2. Next, select the Microsoft Store App troubleshooter within the Settings window that opens.
    3. Then click the Run this troubleshooter button.windows store apps troubleshooter error code 0xa00f4271
    4. Thereafter, users can go through the resolutions provided by the troubleshooter.
    5. Restart Window and check
    STEP B
    • Click on window icon Camera app and right click on the camera app result
    • Under right-click context menu select App settings
    • Under camera app settings, scroll and locate & hit the reset buttonWindows 10 Camera Settings Reset
    • Confirm your action by selecting the reset button and again
After doing above steps make sure you give permission go to settings and click on the Privacy category. Select Camera under the App permissions section on the left. On the right panel, you have to turn on the setting “Allow apps to access your camera“. Scroll down to locate the Camera app and grant permission for it to access the webcam.

That’s it. Now check and see if Windows 10 Camera app is working.

    STEP C

There is norton antivirus that comes preinstalled on acer laptop follow these step i know because antivirus installed in my laptop also

    • Start Norton (click on window icon search norton click on it)

If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

    • In the Norton main window, click Settings.

    • In the Settings window, click SafeCam.

    • In the SafeCam window, move the SafeCam Feature switch to Off

This is feature is on by default you need to turn off
    STEP D
    1. click on window icon enter camera in its search box.
    2. Select Camera privacy settings in search results to open the window shown directly below.privacy settings camera error code 0xa00f4271
    3. If that window states Camera access to this device is off, users will need to click Change and toggle the Camera access for this device option on.
    4. Then turn the Allow apps to access your camera option on.
    5. Check that the webcam app you’re trying to utilize the camera with are also enabled under the Choose which apps can access your camera subheading.
    6. Restart Windows after adjusting camera settings.
    STEP E
(Before doing this step, backup your registry it will take 2-3mins very easy to backup you can Google if you don't know how to do)
registry edit might be among the best fixes. Edit the registry as follows.

I went to the link, installed driver hub for Microsoft drivers and started the program. It listed a few "missing drivers" it downloaded and asked me to restart after it has installed them, I did and my PC crashed then kept attempting and failing to reboot. After some time it went to the black "preparing automatic repair" screen and stayed there. Had to do a hard shutdown several times to get into the blue recovery screen to uninstall all recent updates before I was able to reboot successfully so basically...that definitely didn't work. Thanks though.

All internal webcam drivers are windows proprietary there arent any webcam manufacturer drivers so in the best case its just a windows driver issue which might even require a stock recovery clean install or worse case hardware failure

Last week, my webcam is still working perfectly fine, until yesterday when I tried to open my laptop it's not working anymore error code: 0x00F4271<MediaCaptureFailedEvent>(0x0070018). With the assumption that it might be due to outdated windows version, I have just updated the same. However upon completion of the update (windows 10, version 2004) webcam still incurs the same error code. I have also tried downgrading to the old version thinking this time that it might be due to the incompatibility with the new version. Unfortunately the error still occurs. Hoping somebody can help me addressed this issue, please. Thanks

My webcam issue persists unfortunately. It suddenly started working for a time after a scheduled windows update, worked fine for about 2 days then stopped again. I reinstalled windows but still nothing. Funny thing is, I only used the webcam once around the time I got the laptop (late 2018) just to test it, I used my tablet for all my video calls so never had to turn on my laptop webcam. In my case its impossible to point out an estimated time period for when or what might have caused the issue. I only noticed because I had to start working exclusively from home due to the pandemic. If you are able to find a solution kindly let me know. Thanks.
