My bluetooth just stopped exisiting. I have tried everything that I could while looking online. I reinstalled drivers, checked airplanemode, etc. There is just no way to turn bluetooth on and I can't do anything about it. Someone got a way to bring the on/off button back?

I have an Acer Nitro 5 btw. No more than a few months old.

Which Nitro 5 do you have? Does the WiFi still work when the Bluetooth is having the issues? It might be the system is trying to turn it off to save on battery power...

I'm having the same problem on my older V Nitro and it occurred after a Windows update. First, you can check in Device Manager under "View" to make sure "Show hidden devices" is checked. My Bluetooth showed up there, but the problem is still not fixed. Bluetooth toggle on/off is not showing up in Notifications or Settings. After downloading an reinstalling the driver from Acer, Microsoft is saying that Acer needs to update the driver. Then they just stopped responding to me mid-chat. Sigh.
Please let me know if you've resolved your issue. I'm getting ready to re-install and older version of Windows.

Press F3 key or Fn & F3 key together, see if that activates BT, as this step is appropriate for other laptops.

    The problem:

After the Windows 2004 update, my Bluetooth keyboard stopped working.

In Notifications I found that the Bluetooth icon was missing. I went to the settings for “Bluetooth & other devices” and found that the on/off toggle was also missing.

First clue- In Device Manager under the “Events” tab of the Qualcomm driver, among the last entries were:

---“Device not migrated” and “was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.”

The Solution: (Needless to say, back everything up before starting the quest in case anything goes wrong.)

Finally fixed it. But it wasn’t easy and I was ghosted by three “Microsoft Advisors” before it was over. (You know they all have 100% ratings because they close the sessions they know aren’t going to end well before you can rate them.). Here’s a compilation of what I tried and what finally worked:

    I ran DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Then sfc /scannow (no integrity violations found)

Uninstalled and reinstalled the Acer Bluetooth adapter driver (multiple times in various order).

    Updated BIOS.

Checked Bluetooth Support Service and made sure the Service was set to Manual (Trigger Start) and Started.

    AND THEN….I reset Windows

Download the ISO to a folder on your HD run setup from there by double-clicking. Here’s a handy guide  https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10 (While you’re there why not create a bootable USB?)

Now throughout this endeavor various experts were telling me that the keyboard wouldn’t work because it was the wrong Bluetooth version and that Acer had to update their Bluetooth driver. The reality is that the Windows update corrupted the files.

    Hope this helps!
