Hello! Faced with a problem on the laptop Acer Nitro AN515-54-51CU when the chipset is heated above 61 degrees, the fans start to work at speeds of 3500 / min, at 63 degrees at speeds of 4500 / min, and at temperatures from 66 can reach 5000 rpm and above. Is it possible to disable? NitroSense does not affect the speed control. At the same time, this air does not help the chipset, the air circulation in the case only increases, which helps to reset a maximum of 1-2 degrees. Thank!

Firstly, have you cleaned your fans and repasted the cpu/gpu on your Nitro AN515-54 with a good quality paste? As that could be one of your problems of fan speed increase. The fans are thermostatically controlled and have a sensor to monitor the temps and adjust speed(s), fans even stop when a cpu/gpu reaches a minimum temp and the room temp is adequately cool and restart when they are needed. If you look at the internal of the Nitro AN515-54 the fans are situated on the right (as you look at your laptop) and they are combined side by side, they extract cpu/gpu hot air through one vent on the side to cool the heatsink tubes through a cross ventilation process.

This cooling application and all its workings have to be clean and efficiently cooled by cold air that comes from the bottom vents of the Nitro AN515-54 as the cpu/gpu have to be insulated with a good paste for this cooling system to work properly. Check all these aspects of the Nitro AN515-54 cooling system and also consider a laptop tablet cooler that suck hot air out of the bottom case vents just like a vacuum suction cooler, that sucks hot air from the cpu/gpu side vent, as they are an efficient cooling enhancer(s) to lower cpu/gpu temps.

Hello! The temperature of the processor with the turbo boost off - does not exceed 60-65 degrees, with the on - no higher than 75 degrees, and the GPU no higher than 67 degrees. High-quality thermal paste Arctic Cooling MX-4, before application, degreased the crystals of the processor and video card and heat pipe, the fans are clean. Fans accelerate when the temperature mark is exceeded 61 degrees - on the chipset (diode), fans rarely stand idle, although the temperature of the processor and video cards is less than 40 degrees.

    2 options:
1st one  is to flash mod BIOS and enable thermal fan control
2nd one is to play with NBFC and to either use predefined profiles or to create one by yourself.
Please click "Yes" if I have answered your question.

And where can I get the BIOS mod?

do you have ch341a to dump yours first?

So you have to get one first and dump your BIOS and then you can ask for an unlock on the bios forums and after that you have to flash it back, if you find this hard to deal with then better download the NBFC and try some profiles

I’ll try the NBFS, if it doesn’t work out, then where can I do all these actions that you described above without the programmer and disassembling the laptop?

    Answer ✓
Unfortunatelly you can`t the SPI chip is rewrite protected so for now the only option is with programmer. You can ask Acer support if they can provide you with an unlocked BIOS. lol
Here the link to the NBFC - https://github.com/hirschmann/nbfc
