How Many SSD Slots on Acer Aspire Z24-890-UA91?

I just finished setting this machine up and all went well, but I'm going to be needing ssd space sooner than later.

I'm hoping that there are two ssd/hd slots (since these particular models appear to sell with either/or), in the hopes of running two smaller ssd's rather than one  expensive larger one.

Much obliged for any help.

    Hi,
You have one M.2 SSD slot and a HDD bay, you can install M.2 NVMe SSD or a M.2 SATA SSD in the slot up to a recommended size of  256GB  but I have seen an advert of this model with 512GB M.2 SSD, so I think a larger M.2 SSD may work but you have to try it at your own risk, you can install a 2.5" HDD up to 2TB in the HDD bay.

I had been browsing this forum, seen your helpful posts, and was very much hoping you'd add here. Many thanks.

So to be certain: you 're saying my rig has a second slot (hd/sdd), and while the device can hold onto its original 500gb ssd in its first slot, it can also take on a 256gb ssd (perhaps larger, with risk) in an actual, existing second slot.

For speed considerations, I would like to avoid an hd, and even an ssd of 250gb would much alleviate my storage needs.

Again, I'm very grateful to have your help.

    Hi,
Could you please post the details of the original 500GB SSD, is it a 2.5" SSD or a M.2 SATA SSD? Go to Device Manager, expand Drives, and post the snip.

Thank you for your quick response. In Device Manager, under Disk Drives, the ssd is labeled:

    WDC PC SN520 SDAPNUW-512G-1014

That is a Western Digital Blue NVMe drive. That means you have the 2.5" drive area open and can put whatever you'd like there. You won't have any problems with drive sizes, Acer just tests the models they ship with rather than everything out there. It is possible, though I believe unlikely, that they don't include the drive cage hardware as part of your model. If so the Acer part number is: 60.BCBD1.008

Fantastic. And once more, thank for your follow-up. By switching o a new computer, I move from a 1TB hd to 512GB ssd, forcing me to be pretty judicious about storage. Nice to know I don't have to be so selective. I see Crucial has a selection of ssds and thanks for the part number for the drive cage, if needed.
