This problem started about 6 month ago. I noticed that my screen of my laptop was flickering while it is plugged in. Meanwhile, I also noticed that the battery was draining while it was plugged in. The laptop was charging and also not charging, the gap was in milliseconds. This cycle repeated with a beep sound. The orange charging light also blinked. Then I changed my charging cable. About 2/3 months it worked well but then the same problem arises. I tried resetting my battery and updating my drivers and uninstalling battery drivers. I have also tried uninstalling and letting windows reinstall my battery drivers. I had been searching online and have not found the reason and any exact way to fix. My laptop works well if I charged it full while powered off and then turned it on. But now I also noticed that my battery drain more unusually (don't last around 2hours).
Please tell me the exact reason and the best solution available for this problem!

I also have same concern but different problem. I have E5-476G-38TB, the battery is 0%, charging but not increasing, removing its charger shuts off the laptop completely. So how to fix?
    Method I used:
Device manager and uninstall microsoft Ac adapter and ACPI-compliant Control method battery.
Reset calibration by removing battery and draining excess charges, press turn off button for 30 seconds-60 seconds. (I did it like 5 times already)
    Disable power saver.

using cmd to show battery report info, and it says that my battery still has 80% battery life, its healthy.

  • When the notebook is off, is the battery charged? have you ever tested the power adapter with a multimeter?
