Why is the Acer Aspire One's Crystal Eye webcam too dark on default setting? Is there any update on this?

    Good day

You need to adjust the settings on the acer webcam application.

I bought acer aspire V3 last week and I'm suffring from this problem too. Mine HD web cam was working good but now suddenly it gone dark even all the lights of my room r turned on and my desktop USB web cam work fine in same light. I even tried to adjust setting (brightness, contrast, gamma ETC) but it didnt work out. I need some serious help cos I'm working on my FYP in which I have to develop an application with opencv using camera.

I have exactly the same problem. I contacted Accer support and the only thing they answered was to re-install the software.  Unfortunately my warranty is now expired and I have no more support.  This didn't solve the problem. Anyhow that's not the problem because when I see the camera image throught the Crystal Eye Webcam software I can see it quite well even in dim conditions.  However, when I try to do video through something like Skype it is extremely dark ...and unless it's daytime or I have extremely strong lights in the room...the other person can't see a thing.

Does anyone know how to solve this.

    Thanks in advance.
