Recently, I added another 4gb of ram to my Acer E14 E5 473g-33rt laptop to boost ram memory but after I add the new ram stick there was no power even while plugged in. The seller says its compatible with my unit and recheck it's compatible. There is something bothering me, I must have destroyed the thin flat film wire connecting the keyboard and power supply. Pictures attached. Please help me. Is there a replacement that I could buy online? Any alternative to fix the flat film çord (I don't know what's it's called)? Any ways to fix my laptop?

the flat wire behind, there's something wrong with the end and lock. The lock was Brittle. Any solution?

Those are called flex cables, one has to be careful with them because some can be easily damaged.

If the one that connects the keyboard to the motherboard is damaged, it could explain why the laptop doesn't power up (the signal from the power-on key wouldn't reach its destination). I'm assuming the unit doesn't turn on with the original one right now either right?

I would call Acer Support, see if they could ship you one of those cables or if they could take a look at the unit (there'd be a cost associated of course). As for where to get replacement parts... the usual marketplaces online could be a good place to start looking if Acer is unable to supply you with one.

Thank you, Sir. I think that's the problem. Those flex cables are starting to fade.
