Recently i was playing COD Warzone and i crashed ... since then i can't launch games and whatever game i launch the video is grainy. I have googled a lot on this issue but i cannot find the exact issue that i face. I did a fresh installation of windows. I re-installed my graphics drivers with no solution in sight.

My laptop is the acer predator helios 300 g5-371 i7-7700hq, gtx 1060-6gb, 16 GB ram.

Find below an attached image of what the issue i face is. I cant launch any of the newer games and so i started launching some old games and the games have this grainy effect on them ... they are not static and keep moving all throughout. This issue just came out of the blue. One second i was playing COD Warzone, and the next boom! games don't launch. I haven't done any overclocking so i know for sure that this is not artefacting. The grain effect is much worse than is shown in the screenshot.

The below image is from Dying Light menu, One of the very few games which i can manage to launch. In warzone the game gives me an error 6068. And in Just cause 4 it gives me an error about the GPU being on a loop.

    Good Morning Chocopanda97 !

    It starts with the basics, which would be to uninstall and update video drivers from both Nvidia and Intel HD Graphics?

    Chocopanda97 so you fresh install windows and the issue persists i would say if you dont have thermal issues would most probably be hardware wise some fault with the dgpu itself have u tried external display ?? and have u ever repasted and cleaned it properly also use DDU and reinstall the drivers and make sure the games are manually setup each one on  nvcp to run on the dgpu good luck

    @xapim, I had repasted the laptop due to thermal issues last year. Since then it has been fine even under heavy loads. Also I had reduced my cpu performance a bit to cope with the thermal issues. Flawed thermal design in my opinion.

    @MaClane I used DDU to uninstall my drivers. The issue still persists. The games do run on the DGPU, and it does utilize 99%-100% of my DGPU but the visual noise persists in some older games and the newer games such as warzone/ valorant does not launch.

    My laptop is just over warranty, it is around 2 years and 4 months old now. It would be sad if an nvidia GPU dies from usage just over 2 years.
    Can someone suggest a test/ program to rule out hardware damage? (No visual hardware damage upon inspection)

    Well you could try to install linux alongside and then install nvidia drivers and stress the gpu.

    @batmalin
    I tried stressing the GPU with firestrike and timespy. But the graphic tests would not work and it just gives me "An error occured" without an explanation.

    This would be relevant if you are 100% sure that this is not a  broken windows issue...

    Hmm yes, windows. I will try the Linux tip that you suggested.

    Also i ran userbench and the graphics test passed without any failure or visual noise.

    Chocopanda97 if 3dmark cant recognise your gpu to me that means its most probably faulty hardware in some way also the G3-571 were the first H300 so it would be normal to encounter some issues and faults sooner or later as they were the first gen and with every gen unfortunately theres always some lemons in the basket but much has improved since then
