I recently bought a second user Acer Extensa EX2540. I tried to install the latest Acer eRecovery Management software, but it would not install. I have a screenshot of the message.
Anyone know what the problem is? Either reply or email me
Thanks

So your partition are setup correctly for a clean Windows install. No Acer recovery available. Use the Windows tools to create a Windows recovery instead.

If at some time in the laptops previous life the user reinstalled Windows from scratch, such as they might do before selling it, the recovery portion of the drive would have the Acer software load removed. In order for the Acer eRecovery to install it needs both of the special partitions that were there originally. It installs the eRecovery boot image in a small partition and the factory software in a larger one. Try this, launch Disk Management, select your disk and take a screen capture for us. We should be able to tell if you have the right partitions...

I took a screenshot, have a look and tell me what you tbink. The laptop may have had a re-install as I bought it second hand.

Thanks for your advice. I had an idea that was the problem but I wanted to make sure. I have already made a recovery flash drive to access any Windows 10 computer. I trained as a computer technician at night school. Thanks again
