    Hi,
Most of the laptop graphics are soldered on the motherboard, so I doubt you can upgrade the graphics, anyway, please post the full model name of the laptop and what's the graphics in you laptop.

I have Acer AN513-31. It has NVIDIA GeForce MX150. Even though it is latest it is still not compatible. I checked. Please help upgrading.

    Hi,
You can not upgrade the MX150 as it's soldered on the motherboard.

No, as the GPU is soldered to the motherboard. The CPU is not soldered by the way.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Yes you can .. but u need to buy MOTHERBOARD ACER PREDATOR HELIOS 300? why cause the design is same as NITRO 5 .. but u also maybe need ACER PREDATOR HELIOS 300 FAN for good cooling than ACER NITRO 5 FAN .. so the conclusion .. ACER NITRO 5 body, but motherboard use ACER PREDATOR HELIOS 300 whatever spec(example: i5 8300h/gtx1060) with PREDATOR FAN for good cooling on gtx1060 .. and PREDATOR also support GPU Overclock with PREDATOR SENSE

I don't know for the FAN in nitro 5 same as predator 300 or not .. but if same then good for change motherboard only .. but if not .. better get the predator 300 FAN also otherwise you will suffer heating problem .. but for budget laptop gaming its normal for cpu temp around 90c and gpu 80c if the cpu temp is high enough until reach tj max it will throttle down for keep cpu temp good ..

Hi, I see that you are trying to upgrade your GPU since you are unable to play the latest games. let me give you some information.
Things you CANNOT upgrade in a laptop:
    CPU
    Graphics Card
    Graphics Memory
    WiFi Adapter
    Bluetooth Adapter
    Ports
    Webcam
Screen (some might allow screen upgrade, but very rare)

    Things you CAN upgrade:
RAM, limited by mother boards specs
    Hard Disk

WiFi and Bluetooth adapters can be supplemented into better ones by using external adapters connected on USB.

The wifi card can be upgraded as its installed via mpcie and not integrated.
(Bluetooth is a part of that)

Do you want to upgrade the drivers of the graphics card or do you actually want to switch to another graphic card? You can't switch to another graphics card but for drivers upgrade, you can get them from manufacturer's website.

if u got the tools it's possible, but u do have to replace the bios with the version thats on the AN515-53 and the exact card from the AN515-53 so the GTX 1050Ti, but there is a 90% chance that it will brick the whole mobo.. I got a couple notebooks that were broken so the AN515-41 had a burned out gpu and the 53 had a burned out cpu and cpu socket, and they were free so if it failed it wasnt a loss, but I just wanted to say its not "Impossile", but its not advised to do it either..

what if i took it to a professional and upgraded my an515-54 gtx1660ti to rtx2060 (gpu will be taken from predator ph315-52) will that work or shall i wait for new nitro 5/7 and take the rtx(2060) from there and solder it to my gpu ? i i thi its possible he told me that he upgraded gpu and cpu of about thousands of them and 79percent almost were successful and he also said that acer nitro5 could possibly be unsoldered and solder it with rtx2060.
I am definitely not going to buy a new laptop 😒
