Swift 5 Keyboard occasionally stops working, requires restart

I've had my Acer Swift 5 laptop for about 3 months or so. Maybe 2-4 weeks ago the keyboard randomly stopped working while I was using it, forcing me to restart. This has since happened maybe 3 or 4 times. My mouse still works during it so it seems to be specific to the keyboard. It works fine again once I restart but that's really a problem since it messes up whatever I'm doing at the time, and if I'm in a full screen game that I can't close out with the mouse I have to hard shut down. I have no idea what could be causing it, it works fine otherwise. Could this be a defect, or a driver issue? Anyone have any recommendations on how to fix this?

I have an Acer Swift 5 that I purchased in June. Intermittently, I have issues with both my speakers and keyboard. For the speakers, audio just randomly starts becoming very crackly. It is the same for all audio-games, video, music, etc. The only fix I have found is rebooting or disabling and re-enabling my speakers which makes it work for a while. For my keyboard, it just sometimes sporadically stops working. Again, the only fix I have found is rebooting, and if I'm in a full screen program that means doing a hard shut down and losing whatever I was doing.

Neither of these are system breaking problems  but really inconvenient and shouldn't be happening, I've never had these issues with any other devices. Is this a hardware defect or something I can fix? I am up to date on all drivers, Windows Updates, and Acer Care Center. I'd prefer not having to send out my laptop for repair since I need it for work but I'll do what I have to do.

    Thanks.

I'm also having these problems on my Acer Swift 3 SF314-55 series, sometimes it's just the speakers, they will either be crackly or completely stop working and only a restart fixes the issue or other times the keyboard will completely stop working and again requires a restart. Although what has just happened to be now, the speakers made a random noise and the keyboard stopped working at the same time?

Both of these things shouldn't be happening on a £900 Acer laptop, hopefully someone can help with this? I believe its software related other than hardware possibly...

There is still no input on this issue, and it is apparent that it is not an isolated case. Does anyone have any suggestions on the issue or do I need to send it in for repair?

I am having the exact same problem as the original poster with a Swift SF314-55 laptop . I hear a single beep, and then the keyboard stops working. I have noticed that the keyboard will still light up, so its not clear if it is a hardware or software problem. I removed the keyboard driver from Windows Device Manager and rebooted, but the problem has not been fixed, and the keyboard will still randomly stop working. Any thoughts on how to get this fixed?

I never found a fix. I ended up sending it back to Acer and they replaced the keyboard and the IR sensor, so it must be a hardware issue. I was within my warranty so it was free. I got it back probably within 2 weeks of sending it, maybe 10 days. Hopefully this helps.
