I also have the keyboard timeout issue on my Aspire A715-72G , how do I keep lights on?

My very expensive laptop have that simple problem that keyboard lights turn off after 30 sec, which many other users seem to report.
I have upgraded to the latest 1.26 BIOS which introduced the "KB lighting timeout function". After I disabled it, my keyboard stayed on for a day or so.
Now we're back to the same problem, even though that option in BIOS is disabled. Totally annoying.
What can I do?

    Good evening ThomasLindvig !

    The default is as follows:
    Plugged into the power outlet and disabling the option on the Bios, it should remain on.
    In this case, I suggest that you set the bios values to factory defaults so that the update can be implemented correctly.
    Already using only on battery, there is no solution ... it will turn off every 30 seconds.

    Thanks, but hear yourself, all this technical stuff needed to do a very simple function: to be able to control the keyboard lights, like you can on ALL other laptops with keyboard lights. And still the problem persists on battery...

    I would say the keyboard lights are broken, like if I had to jump 3 times every time I had to use the enter key. So now I will take it to support and command them to fix the broken issue or give me another laptop.

    On the battery, the keyboard light turns off every thirty seconds. this could only be changed if acer made this change to the bios. however, there will be an increase in battery consumption.

    So how can we get Acer to make these changes to the BIOS? I only need the timeout increased to 45-60 seconds. Can we enter the commands in BIOS or be given instructions on how to make the change ourselves?

     It defeats the purpose of a lit keyboard if you have to strain or press unnecessary keys to get it lit back up and begin typing.
