Thoughts on the Acer Nitro 7

I am looking to buy an Acer Nitro 7 gaming laptop, which I'll be using for design and art work and some light gaming. I was wondering about the durability and build quality of the laptop because I heard that Acer does not have good QC.

I want the model with the i5 processor and the GTX 1650. Otherwise my other option is the HP Pavilion 15 with the AMD chip and the 1650.

Which one do you guys think offers better build quality? If you have any recommendations with similar specs, I am all ears.

Acer Nitro 7 owner here. Lots of us are having battery percentage issues - plugged in but not charging. Acer seems to be sending out faulty batteries and adapters but not recalling the product or seriously looking into the faults. Intermittent faults.

Other than this, the screen is beautiful, but the keyboard is a little annoying in its features. Long travel too which can be tiring for typing on. The buttons are kind of squished and takes some time getting used too. The camera is meh, it's okay, but what SUCKS about this laptop is the speakers. Honestly with a reasonably thick base they should have put more effort into the speakers! It handles performance of multitasking like a champ - so ideal for work computers - but as a gaming laptop you're better off spending a little more and getting the Acer Aspire 300 as the 1650 is a little weak. It really is a budget mid-range laptop - at the same price point you'd get better GPU RTX2060

In terms of design, the 60Hz screen is adequate, and the IPS colours are fairly accurate. I am a digital marketer and do design work comfortably on it. I run Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and 101 browser tabs no problem - i have upgraded my RAM to 32GB
