I bought my Acer Aspire TC-885 EB11 SN: DTXXXXXX SNID: 83XXXXX BIOS VERSION:RO1-A3 Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64 bits Refurbished and it worked fine for 7 months, it freezes up to two or three times a day. I understand that it has no guarantee, I have updated the operating system until the last update, I have used the Intel tool to have updated all the drivers and also used Acer Care Center. I can't find the fault. I need help.

Thank you very much Tom 2019, I appreciate the advice you provide me, I will follow all the steps to solve my problem.  For now I just created a recovery unit.  I will be in touch.

Finally I solved the problem, I updated the BIOS to version R01-c2, I updated Windows several times, and it has not failed anymore.

I have an Acer Aspire TC-885 desktop that is brand new (no strange apps installed yet- only Adobe and Microsoft) and it has begun freezing.  It happened 3 times now (daily... twice today).  This is for work- I've had to switch back to the old computer this one was supposed to replace.  I tryed the steps above but it's still freezing.  Should I try to return this to Staples and get a different brand or is there a real solution from Acer?

Update... I just called Acer support for north America and spoke with a guy who can't speak english.  I gave him my email FIVE DIFFERENT TIMES!! And he still didn't get it right.  I did manage to make out that it is probably a video card issue (I couldn't understand much more).  The email with return instructions didn't get to me though (surprise) and now I'm back on hold trying to get someone who speaks english.

I recommend that you use the Acer Care Center application, click on My System (the green one) then from the column on the left, select Support and copy SN and SNID from the copy icon and paste them in the notepad, save it. Now go to the Acer site, log in, click Support, Drivers and Manuals, copy and paste the SN / SNID from the notepad into the empty field below "Identify your Acer Device" click Find, and in the result search BIOS / Firmware section, download and install it. The site offers 5 different versions of BIOS, to know which one corresponds to your computer you probably need help. In my case I have experience as an OEM equipment assembler and I was able to do it safely. You can do this by turning on your computer and entering the BIOS by pressing the DEL key as soon as you can, once you see the screen, write down the version and ask in the forum which is the newest for your computer. I hope you solve your problem, it took me more than six months to find it.
