A plethora of issues with my Acer Nitro 5

So my particular Acer Nitro 5 (2018) model is kind-of an oddball spec-wise (i7-8750H, GTX 1050 4GB, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 1TB RAM), but it still has the AN-515-52 model number, so that's that.
Since I bought it fresh out of the box from Harvey Norman, Sydney, I've been experiencing a whole bunch of issues, even after sending it to Acer twice! I'll address them here, and hopefully, someone can hop on board as help me out. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😍

1. Battery life: advertised to be 5-6 hours on a full charge, but even with full charge + not running any games + power saver mode, the battery life lies around 2.5-3 hours. Now that the battery life has decreased, it's getting annoying. Is this a software problem (something is eating up power), or it's just that the battery suck / the CPU drains power?

2. Software suite: This is mega annoying. Nitrosense now doesn't want to start (blinking logo). Reinstalling it from the official website only fixes the problem temporarily for a few restarts. Even when it did work, the feature which makes the laptop dynamically switch power plan when you plug/unplug AC power just doesn't work and will switch to high-performance mode every reboot, even on battery charge. Acer Care center also suffers from bugs and issues: sometimes it doesn't launch, and will then probably launch after I restart the ACC service. It also messes with startup items, making it different from windows' list of startup items in Task Manager (some are missing, some new stuff like a program with no logo and the user's name as its name).

3. Blurry text: texts are blurry in a lot of programs in windows, even after multiple runs of ClearType setup and enabling Windows 10's fix in Settings. Only after using a utility found online that fixes DPI (or something, idk) then the texts seem to be clearer.

4. Performance:idk if it's an issue with the HDD, but for some titles (e.g. CSGO) that I installed on the HDD, the game just suffer from constant stutter and lag, even with high FPS (140+ for CSGO)

5. Sleep mode: after waking up from sleep mode multiple times, the performance of the laptop gets messed up. Everything is slow and lags, and programs sometimes straight up broke (PowerPoint won't read a particular .pptx file, for example). Is this a common thing for every other machine or what?

6. Backlight: even after disabling auto turn off keyboard backlight in the BIOS, it still automatically turns off after 20 secs or so, but on battery power only. Is this intentional?

7. Power: Sometimes, it doesn't offer me an option to shutdown/restart/logout, saying that power options are currently unavailable. What?

8. External display: Sometimes, after connecting another display via HDMI port, the framerate of everything dropped, making everything stutters and lags.

Hopefully someone can help me figure these issues out, since Acer has not proven to be helpful. Trust the community wayyy more!

    1. I have the AN515-42 - and I get 5 hours on battery.
    Somethings I did:
    • Disable windows services I do not need.
    • Set your browser to not use dediced GPU (hardware graphics); you won't notice much difference since the integrated GPU can pull loads pretty comfortably).
    • Brightness generally around 40-60%, unless i am outside.
    4. Performance
    • Get a SSD (120 GB or more); I got a 240 GB SSD
    • Partitioned into 110 GB + remaining.
    • 110 GB I used for windows (80GB is good enough)
    • Second partition I used for games
This laptop comes with a normal HDD, so don't expect too much out of it until you add an SSD.
Also, if you have 8 GB RAM, bump it up to 16.

Thanks for the suggestions. What do you mean by unnecessary Windows services here? Can you help me identify them, please?
40-60% brightness? That's new - I can't see anything on the screen until I set the brightness to >75% or so
Not only my browser - Edge - but a whole galore of other programs use dedicated GPU instead of integrated, and most of these programs are not intensive at all (Photos is included, even(!?))
Might invest in a high capacity SSD later on down the road.
