Acer aspire e5 575 restore thumb drive deploy failed

I purchased a Acer recover thumb drive to fix my daughter's Acer aspire e5 575 33bm laptop. I'm getting a deploy fail, error message= Create partitions fail , error code=-2147024894 around 80 percent then it gets to 100 percent and nothing happens. I was originally having a no bootable device error. I tried to do the alt f10 route first to restore, it didn't work. I have a hard drive appearing in bios. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

    OK! Do the following:
    a) access the bios by pressing f2 before the Acer logo. It has to be fast;
    b) then, create a password on the setsupervisorpassword and disable secureboot;
    c) go to the bootmode tab and change it to uefi;
    d) activate the function f12bootmenu and press f10 to save on exit.

    Then, press f12 and select the recovery disk and verify that the problem is resolved.

    It's been stuck on check image status for almost a hour.

    Kept it going and it started to download and same error appears. 
  • Do you have how to disconnect the hd to format it on another computer?

    No, I'm not that computer savvy. but I believe the hd once had frozen on it in bios.

    I took the hard drive out, and put it back in to get rid of the frozen set in bios. And that seemed to fix it. I do notice it is running super slow. I know how to remove the hard drive but hooking it up to my other computer is something I'm not familiar with. Are you thinking the hard drive has gone bad?

    I found a link saying to put it into legacy mode, so I did and restarted came up no bootable device insert disk so I inserted USB recovery thumb pressed enter and then the same message no bootable device so I shut down and restarted now it's showing a window sign and loading circles. When it finished loading it goes to a black screen. I hope this helps. Thanks for taking your time trying to help me.

    Then, run the erecovery provided by acer again.

    What disk do I select 0 or 1? Trying to do it correct not trying to mess it up more. Thanks for the help.

    Okay I cleaned disk 0 did some research and disk 0 is hard drive disk 1 USB. Followed rest of steps then inserted acer thumb drive. Started laptop and Acer logo comes on with loading. Takes awhile like last time. Now instead of going to the recovery it's now just a black screen.

    The size should not be 0. I believe that the moment the erecovery program tried to create the partitions, it ended up generating the error. Check this out: https://www.stellarinfo.com/blog/how-to-recover-data-when-hard-drive-shows-0-bytes/
    If it doesn't work, you have to check the hard drive on another computer. Or you can try to connect another hard drive to the notebook to reinstall erecovery.

    Thank you for your time. If I just buy a new hard drive and install it will it fix this issue? In order for me to run the hard drive on my computer I will have to buy a hard drive connection tool since my desk top is a all in one. I can get a replacement hard drive for 50$. Or is this just going to lead to more repairs. It had a good two year run.

    I would first check if the ssd works on another computer, so that the crystaldiskinfo program can analyze the hard drive:

    I had similar issues and disabling TPM in the bios solved it for me
