I am planning to remove windows OS and install Linux OS. Is it possible in Acer Helios 300 Model number- PH315-51?

I don't see any Acer apps for Linux in https://www.acer.com/ac/en/IN/content/drivers

Has anyone here done before?

Also does Acer support Linux for their apps like - Acer PredatorSense?

Thanks

just to be doubly certain - when you' have live booted linux from a usb stick, test things like wi-fi/bluetooth/sound etc before installing.    The gtx drivers will need to be manually installed after installation.

Installing Linux is no problem at all. I'm running Manjaro on my PH317-52, and everything works perfectly.

Acer apps are largely pointless except for PredatorSense, and even then only if you want to manually adjust fan speeds. However, I've noticed that Linux -- or at least Manjaro -- is more aggressive than Windows and spins up the fans sooner, so there isn't much if any use for PredatorSense.

oldsweatyguy well i disagree this is not a wanted feature since windows rules all the laptop/desktops world if it was linux they would come with linux on stock plus all new laptops/desktops will not be able so change to legacy mode microsoft gave the order to all manufacturers were to remove these options from the bios to avoid any kind of downgrading as they would not allow any support for it anymore so if you want to blame anyone blame MS they are the kings in all of this they state their own laws and the manufacturers have to obey if they still want to use windows oem (basically for free) on their devices :)

But linux gpt/uefi installs should still work fine assuming youre able to disable secure boot until microsoft orders to remove the secure boot turn on/off option from the bios thats probably the next step  to secure no one can use any other os but windows10
