A515-54G-54QQ and Dual External Monitors
I had to hastily buy a new laptop during the pandemic and I purchased an Acer A515-54G-54QQ online. I was with the understanding that a USB-C to HDMI adapter (NXT Technologies - NX58161) would allow me to hook up the second of my two external monitors. Windows 10 on my new Acer is reporting that my USB-C port is probably not compatible with the USB-C to HDMI adapter. Now I that I am in the Acer Community, it is a nasty surprise to find this is an issue depending on what type of USB-C was provided with the system. I am hoping an alternative would allow me to connect my two external monitors without having to spend between $150-$250 on a docking station.
Acer, like most manufacturers fail to provide how many external monitors
a system will support in their technical specifications. It would be extremely helpful to provide the customers within the Technical Specifications how many external monitors could be supported, and, what
would be necessary to connect the second of two external monitors.
