Hi - Just got my new laptop and went through the setup. While setting the internet connection it kept dropping the Wi-Fi out and eventually just told me to plug in an ethernet cable. I can access internet but now I don't even have the option to connect to Wi-Fi networks..

I've tried downloading new drivers from the Acer website and Microsoft Updates and nothing seems to improve it...

Can anybody walk me through a fix? thanks

Open DeviceManager. Click network adapter folder. Right click the wifi adapter. Click properties. Click advanced tab. Click preferred band. Click 2.4GHz band first. If it still drops, choose 5GHz band. Jack E/NJ

Thanks JackE - when I opened the adaptor folder it said windows had disabled the Wi-Fi due to a problem and then gave me the option to download a new driver for it - this has fixed the issue. Thank you very much - really appreciate it.
