I have contacted acer but got a feeling it might not be under warranty, I decided to have a look at the work carried out today and asked a Facebook page I am on to see if it looked correct, all the comments were no, and a lot saying it’s shocking? I couldn’t fully remove the unit as 1 screw they have rounded off and it seems to be stuck my some thread lock? I will post all pictures.
But my question was someone in the comments mentioned about thermal pads and saying it looked like he’s pasted over them. I contacted him and he has said he has left them in but didn’t think they needed replacing?

If nothing from acer I am going to attempt to clean it and re paste it myself with help from YouTube. Anyone got any recommendations on the cleaning solution and best paste, also will I need to replace these pads of just clean them be enough?
thanks in advance

Now you need to reapply the paste.
You shouldn't open it if you had no temp problems.
Use Kryonaut for CPU and GPU and K5 Pro Thermal paste
for the rest.
No need for thermal pads.0 -

I can see that they put the same paste on CPU,GPU,vram etc.
That is not good.

@Damned
You are right but applying different thermal paste not recommended
@Samuel06
Grizzly Kryonaut and cooler master thermal paste is best and recommend.
Apply one thermal only but make sure you are applying correctly and do not damage any component.
Btw,overheating also cause by outdated driver and bios version.windows 10/11 optimization guide for gaming

Vram chips need thicker paste that is why i told him to use K5 Pro for all except CPU and GPU.
Also Vram chips in Helios 2019 need different thicknesses thermal pads.1 -
