Hi, I just wanted to ask if what is the default HDD installed on my laptop I have the Aspire E5-571G. And I had a technician look into it but when he returned the laptop the HDD was Toshiba and its only 160GB. So I've been suspicious and I wanted to know what the exact brand of HDD Acer has. The laptop was manufactured on 2014 but the current HDD was manufactured in 2010 so I'm thinking that person changed it by the way he's not from acer he is a technician offering a home service. Your answers on this will be greatly appreciated.

Your machine likely originally shipped with a 500GB, 750GB or 1TB HDD with brand names shown  below. Jack E/NJ

@JackE So this couldn't be the correct HDD since this shows its only 160GB? Please advise

@JackE so it means that's not compatible with my laptop given the specs of my laptop? Acer doesn't use that kind of HDD? Please advise

It's compatible meaning that it will work. But it's not the original ACER OEM part because it's a Hewlett-Parkard OEM part made by Toshiba. A 160GB HDD like this was often used on laptops that were made about 2010 with WinVista and Win7, not Win10. Your ACER machine did NOT come from the ACER factory with a 160GB Hewlett-Parkard OEM HDD made by Toshiba. Jack E/NJ
