Can a 3 pin fan connect to my 4 pin fan header?

So I have the Acer Nitro 50-600. I noticed some high temperatures so I am looking for a fan. Currently I am looking at Noctua's NF-A8 FLX. I know its a 3 pin and I have a four pin header. Multiple forums say that a 3 pin can plug into a 4 pin slot but I just want to make sure as the N50-600s 4 pin header isn't PWM. So basically, will a 3 pin fan work on the Nitro 50's 4 pin header?

The Noctua's NF-A8 FLX comes with other cable adaptors that will fit a 3 pin header from to a 4 pin header, so it must work.

It comes with 4 cables. A low noise, an ultra low noise, an extension cable, and a 3 pin to molex. I meant a 4 pin fan header.
