Hello,
This morning My ACER Nitro 5 AN517-51 decided to turn itself off. Been working fine, now it doesnt turn on and does not show any lights when a charger is plugged in to it. Any have any ideas how I can resolve this? Also since its a newer model (Produced in June 2019) there is no pin hole to reset the battery.

    Hi,
Disconnect from mains, press power button for 15Secs, let the laptop rest for a while, reconnect the AC adapter and fully charge the battery before trying to start.

How long would you say a while is? I will try this now thanks!
  • The manual says that 12 seconds is enough. Did the procedure work?

If you are within the warranty period, fix it by contacting Acer Support centre(I know it's difficult under current situation), if not and you don't mind opening it up, you could try reinserting CMOS battery, I would suggest you follow this simple procedure, take off the back cover after removing the screws, take out the CMOS battery and leave it out for 15-20Mins, then reinsert it and try starting again.

Thanks for your help guys, unfortunatley none of these solutions worked. It is still under warrenty so I will just get it repaired by Acer (if they ever get back to me). Thanks again!
