Swift 3 - How to get graphics to appear correct with base Win10?

All,

I am in the process of rebuilding my computer (Swift 3). I am using a base windows 10 right now, as opposed to the factory build.

The graphics do not appear on the computer correctly. Does anyone know how I can fix that?

The video card is an Intel UHD Graphics 620
Software version is 26.20.100.7262

The only way I can describe what is weird about the graphics is that the toolbar on the bottom of the screen and programs come up looking antiquated.

Is there a driver I need?
Is there a setting I need to toggle in Windows settings?

The screen resolution isn't the issue - I've adjusted that to what I want. It does nothing for the graphics issue, all it changes is the display size.

Thanks!

Can you show us a picture of what you are seeing? How about a picture of Device Manager with the Display Adapters expanded?

Overall, there is a crisp'ness to the look of most things that isn't there.

The screen shot here shows 3 different things.

    1. The little window in the middle. A lot of times these windows appear "fuzzy" like the graphics aren't completely clear. The OK button in the bottom right of this one is about all I can see that may not be quite "clear". That isn't the case with a lot of other windows - the whole window shows fuzzy text, for example.

    2. The top toolbar menus, graphs, etc in this program look way wrong. They function, but its almost like the icons for what the buttons are have been enlarged and pixelated. The larger buttons on the top left (pause, record, play, etc) look lots bigger than they should be, let alone the icons in them. The graphs top middle and top right have way too big of text.

    3. The bottom toolbar of Windows doesn't look right to me. The color seems off. Also, the microphone symbol on the bottom right next to the battery is square and I recall that was rounded before in the OS I had.

Here is another example of the graphics in another software.

The red box outlines one area of concern. The small icons are pixelated, namely to the right - like the icons for the buttons are blown up with the button size staying normal.

Thanks for any insight and assistance.

Bring up Display settings and look at screen resolution and scale. You get the clearest image when the resolution is set to the recommended value and scale is at 100%.

Please see the opening post. The resolution isn't the issue.

I will see if I can find a screen shot of the Audacity program from before for comparison.

OK now I am really confused.

I couldn't find a screen shot of Audacity. However, I dug in my files and I found an old (several years old - from 2012) install file for v2.0.0. What I had installed was just downloaded after the refresh on the computer - 2.3.3. The old version (from 2012 - 8 years ago) looks correct. The new version is what looks out of whack.

Here is a screen shot from v2.0.0. The first screen shot earlier in the post is v2.3.3.

In any event, the top toolbar (across the whole screen, there are many "toolbar" options enabled) in this one looks very clean like it "should". Take a look at the graphs, for example - they aren't jam packed like the other one.

I don't have any examples of the VSDC program, just downloaded it as a crutch as I had not found another program I had been using.

Can you edit both images to show specifically what you are asking about? I'm not sure I'm understanding fully which bits are bad...
