Just got it and very pleased, except the set sounds they give you are rubbish and I can't find an equalizer to sort it. I've got 3 settings: music, movie and game. The last 2 are tinny and the music is mush. Oh, and there's Acer something or other switched on. I've tried everything I can find webwise, but other than a download that probably won't work on this system anyway, I'm stuck. Any ideas please?

Right click the speaker icon in the tray. Click playback devices. Click speaker and properties. Click advanced tab first. Test change sampling and bitrates. Then click enhancements and play with adjustments. Which are many.  Sorry, but the smallish internal speakers will never be as good as headphones, even el cheapo earbuds. Jack E/NJ

I haven't got any of these options. I've had the Realtek equalizer before but I just can't find it anywhere on this Acer. There's a Realtek app that is next to useless as its only got 3 settings, all of them bad. It's such a shame as it's got great speakers etc, it's just hampered by this lack of equalizer. It's stupid.

Search 'speaker' in the Win start menu. Click manage audio devices. Do you see a box with the internal speaker listed? See instructions in this link for generic Windows equalizer from the box as well as other equalizer options.  https://www.minitool.com/news/windows-10-sound-equalizer.html Jack E/NJ

    It's called physics.

Laptops get thinner and thinner, and the speakers gets smaller and thinner. NOTHING you can do will fix the sound issue. An equalizer is not going to save you.

There isn't anything with any of these options. It doesn't matter how thin it is if you use headphones, you still need to adjust them. I've looked in all the usual places and there just isn't one for some reason. Thanks for your help.

Please, as mentioned earlier, if you don't see or are able to use the generic Windows equalizer options, then see instructions in this link for other non-Microsoft options.  https://www.minitool.com/news/windows-10-sound-equalizer.html
Minitool is an excellent reference for these kinds of issues.  Due to my hearing impairments, I must use an equalizer to boost certain frequencies that I've lost.   Jack E/NJ
