First, what is the model of your laptop? As your Windows 10 USB/DVD installation media (e.g. MBR or UEFI BIOS) is a critical factor to booting into and repairing your laptop.

To repair your laptop for the "no bootable device" error do the following:

    1. Place the Windows 10 USB/DVD and reboot the Windows operating system installation media.
Note: If you can’t boot from the Windows USB/DVD then you will have to go in the BIOS options of your device and be sure you have the option to boot from the USB HD or USB CDROM 1st option selected and enabled in BIOS. Also, if you have a UEFI BIOS make sure that you have a GDP USB/DVD formatted media as an MBR formatted USB/DVD will not boot and you will have to disable "Secure Boot" and change the "Boot Mode" to "Legacy" so you will be able to boot into the MBR USB or DVD Windows 10 installation media.
    2. After your system boots you’ll get to a Windows setup page. Click the Next button to proceed.
    3. Left click or tap on the Repair your computer option in the next window.
    4. Now choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options button > Automatic repair button.
    5. Select the Windows 10 operating system you wish to repair.
    6. Let the automatic repair process run and after it is finished reboot again without the Windows 10 USB/DVD and check if you still get the No boot device available message.

Just received  the laptop I purchased Acer Aspire A315 which when turned on started Cortana then once keyboard and language choices were made attempted to start up then returned "no bookable device" The advice re Win10 USB boot up cant be followed as it hasn't arrived with a USB support stick. It was purchased from the online store. Any other way to fix this? It's brand new out of the box! Thanks.
