hi there, if I had stored data on my HDD, should I also follow this link's instruction to transfer data to the newly installed SSD?

https://www.easeus.com/backup-recovery/upgrade-acer-aspire-laptop-to-ssd.html

Thank you in advance.

If you also want to boot from the new SSD instead of the HDD, then you want to clone or migrate the system on the old drive to the new drive. Easeus has free todo backup software to do this. Several others do too. Just google 'freeware' 'cloning tools' . Aoemi and Macrium are good too. ACER also has instructions on how best to do this at this link if its an m.2 SSD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCmAOwRYNwY

    hi there,

I would like to ask if I install m.2 2280 Sata III 512 GB SSD into my laptop, do I need to remove the original 1000 GB HDD?  Will this make my laptop faster?  My laptop model is Acer ASpire F15 (F5-573-75MP)
    .

    Thank you!

The old drive can remain in place. The m.2 SSD won't make your laptop faster unless you clone/migrate the system on the old drive to the new drive. However, the old drive must have less than 512GB used space or it won't fit on the SSD. Jack E/NJ

hi there,  if I install m.2 2280 Sata III 512 GB SSD into my laptop, could I also upgrade my original 12RM to 16RM.  How to do so?  Will this make my laptop faster?  My laptop model is Acer ASpire F15 (F5-573-75MP)

Yes, you can exchange the 4GB RAM module in there now with another 8GB RAM module that matches the 8GB RAM module in there now. That would bring the RAM to 8GB+8GB = 16GB total. Jack E/NJ

Hi, is there a video teaching me how to install new RAM into the laptop?  Also,  a video  to show me how to install a new power as well?  Where to buy these  parts would you recommend?  Thank you!

Firstly, what is the model of your laptop? As its a bit hard to advise you if you don't quote your model number! But and what I would suggest, as I've got allot experience with cloning and using Samsung drives is this; If you want to increase your capacity with one of the quickest, most reliable drives of e.g. M.2, 2.5 inch SSD and clone your boot drive, then get a Samsung M.2, 2.5 inch SSD drive. Samsung have some great software for cloning called "Data Migration" which is very simple PnP type software to use and also they have "Samsung Magician" which also has a utilization of 'Rapid Mode' that uses intelligence and other resources in your PC, namely the RAM, to cache files for quicker access and a more streamlined read/write process. Btw, The newest, and fastest NVMe drives from Samsung cannot use Rapid Mode as they don't need to.

Samsung are also a very high end drive (yes you have to pay a bit more, but its worth it) that is both one of the quickest and most reliable drives on the market, which I can vouch for, as I've been using them for over 4 years! Btw, I'm not associate with Samsung in any way or get anything for recommending them, I'm speaking from my personal experience.

Same as cloning, "Hi, is there a video teaching me how to install new RAM into the laptop?" which laptop do you have? Usually there is a back cover on your laptop that you can unscrew which exposes your RAM (not on all computers) and then you have to unclip the RAM. In some computers you have to take the back cover off and access RAM on the other side of the motherboard. Cheers and good luck

I suggest that you go to this link on recommended RAM updates for your model. https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/aspire-f5-573. You don't have to buy from Crucial but their RAM modules are very competitive and they guarantee what they recommended with no questions asked. They also have videos and instructions on how to change and install RAM at this link https://www.crucial.com/support/articles-faq-memory

gracegraceso>>>My laptop model is Acer ASpire F15 (F5-573-75MP).  I just browed through the following websites.  I noticed that many of the RAM is out of stock.  Also, I wonder if my computer can handle 32RAM + 32 RAM = 64 RAM for the 2 RAM modules slot, it was originally installed as 8RAM + 4RAM = 12 RAM.  Also, I was told (I called ACER) the highest SSD that they tested was 512 GB, so in case case should I purchase a SSD below or equal to 512 GB.  In other words, may I purchase one that is higher?  1TB or 2TB.  Please advise.  To confirm, are you suggesting me to buy crucial the brand because I also saw Ballistix brand.  Also, since it's out of stock, where would you recommend me to buy.  I look forward to your reply.  Thank you for your great help!

No sorry. Your computer can't handle more than 16GB total RAM with a matched pair of two 8GB DDR4 kit modules. Crucial should have these in stock. A 1TB m.2 SATA3 card should work OK but not 100% guaranteed. Jack E/NJ
