I want to know from other Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54-52H2 (GTX 1050 + i5-9300H) users, which is the most efficient BIOS for this system.
I am asking so because I just upgraded to the v1.28 and now my system is handling basic tasks like YouTube and writing this article at 19-23 Watts on Power Saver and screen - keyboard at low brightness. Previously, on v1.25, the same used to hover between 14-17W.
Can anyone help me out on which BIOS version pushed the best battery for you

    @NikPalPro latest is always better and in your laptop latest is recommended fix many bugs,performance improvement.support for your nvidia dedicated GPU.
    However Battery matters in normal laptops not in gaming laptops and Your keyboard backlight should dim each time you press the F9 key while holding FN. Increase backlight brightness: Hold the Fn key, and press the F10 key to increase the backlight.

    Yes latest is always better. But I am here for better efficiency, any BIOS Update isn't affecting any day-to-day features anyway. My Keyboard Backlight and everything works as intended.

    See, I am trying not to be infuriated.... But this needs to ***** stop!
    Yes, Gaming Laptops can get away with worse battery life but that by no means makes it such that we are thrown atrocious efficiencies, fan curves and haphazard engineering like some animals! I too use for regular tasks on battery in college.
    A 57Wh Cell like in the Nitro 5 can generally offer in excess of 9h in a regular laptop, I am not demanding that, but the least we can get is as much battery as we previously used to get! I want the consistent 3.5h that I used to get, it is impossible to live with sub-2h battery life, it isn't like I am packing a 180W GTX 1080Ti or a Titan RTX, it is a 75W GTX 1050!

    P.S I also have my GTX 1050 permanently disabled, except for the time I am going for a gaming session, so I ***** sure can demand 9h too, because that's what sets Gaming Laptops apart from Regular ones. {CPU Hits EDP limit of 15W on battery like other laptops}
