Acer Nitro 5 frequently freezing

I believe my laptop might be about a year old. However I've always had this problem so long as I have had the laptop. Unfortunately I did not buy a warranty at BestBuy and my company warranty expired back in December. I have tried just about everything but taking it apart. I've factory reset twice now. Scanned for driver updates and scanned for viruses. I have nitrosense installed and running at high performance, currently it is at 42 degrees. When I do light gameplay 52 degrees. I couldn't see myself reasonably chalking it up to overheating. I have no idea what it could be. When you start it up the keyboard will still light up, the screen however is a different story. The LCD will glow like it's on but it just hardly is a light gray color. Nothing else happens, not even the buffer with the Acer logo. So ill flip it over and take a paper clip down into the manual reset button. I end up having to do that about 2 or 3 times before I make it to the log in prompt. When it does start and I get logged in sometimes I'll have 5 minutes. Other times i'm lucky enough to get an hour at most before it freezes. Lately I've been trying to play Sims 4. A game I've never had to much trouble running even on non-gaming laptops. For some reason though i'll get 5-15 mins top for gameplay before it crashes. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

Have you tried a fresh install of windows? Although that may not be the problem, I do think that it could be a cooling problem, so what I would recommend is taking it apart and at least checking the thermal paste, but you will most likely want to reapply new paste. For taking it apart I can highly recommend this video, this is what I used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vfoUkIazNA
