Hello everyone.  I have a Acer Spin 5 SP513-52N.  It's been working great.  I've only had it for about two weeks.  There's just one problem.  I cannot get the built in microphone to work.  I've done the troubleshooting, but it just puts me in this crazy loop.  I click Get Started to setup the microphone. Instead of setting up the microphone, I get a message asking what is the problem with two choices, Cortana can or can't hear me.  Of course, the resolution is that the microphone isn't setup, but the setup never occurs.  Can anyone assist?

right click the speaker icon near clock and date, choose recording devices.
is your mic listed and set as default device?
    I'm not an Acer employee.

Right click the speaker Icon and hit troubleshoot as well. It might see what went wrong and gives you a list of options to perform. After 1709 (Windows Update). Few of us were having problems with Realtek cards. If you can respond back and elaborate, perhaps I can help.

SPIN5 user here, new as of December 2019, same problem.  ended up having to update all the RealTek/audio drivers via Device Manager, then setting Realtek Speakers and Mike as 'default' in Sound Settings.  Hope this helps, all this time later.
