Hello All,

I have started playing Assassin's Creed Unity and even though the game was smooth I had to reduce the graphics settings to prevent Laptop from heating.
I have turned off a few features even and rest all at Medium (High refers Medium as the available settings are 'Low-High-Very High-Ultra').

After doing all this still, my CPU Temperature maintains at 99°C But the laptop doesn't heat much as I lifted it from the ground a few inches while gaming.
I don't understand why the CPU temp alone raises while the laptop stays normal everywhere.

No Performance Issues...Only concern is CPU Temperature!

Any suggestions might help! Thanks in Advance!

Laptop Config:
Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8300H CPU
Ram - 8GB
GPU - GTX 1050Ti
Hard disk - 256GB SSD

If you don`t have a warranty sticker i would suggest clean the fans and re-paste the cpu and the gpu.

But I brought the Laptop recently.
I have tried Undervolting the CPU to -0.130 and even -0.150 sometimes.
But still, both Thermal Throttling and Power Limit Throttling becomes "YES" as soon as I start the game.
And Max CPU Temperature is still around 95 degree.

It's only the CPU..Laptop stays normal.

The only cure for overheat is to clean the fans and to re-paste

Okay. Thanks for the quick response!

    One quick question.
In Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, Any idea What is "Turbo Boost Power Max"?
Exactly What happens when we reduce it? and What happens when we increase it?

In summary this is an overcloxking utility for windows. Turbo boost increases the tdp of the processor to run over the adverised tdp. Example if your cpu tdp is 45W when you enable it the cpu tdp will increase for example to 65W. All of this is a overkill for the cooling design which (especially for laptops) is not designed to proper cool the cpu down.
