Its incredibly slow ..Is this hardware or software.!!
Should i bin it and just avoid acer future wise ..I have no idea ..

So which OS did it come with originally, W8 or W8.1? It might be trying to do the big updates from Microsoft and just not finding enough room. Those models were designed specifically to be very low cost, and one of the ways they did that is sizing the drive just barely large enough to run. The big updates (W8 to W8.1 and from there to W10, then each semiannual upgrade since) often want 10-15GB free on the drive, and the drive was often only 32GB to start. You can sometimes get around it by putting a FAT32 formatted SD card in, the OS will move some of the temporary files to the SD taking up less room on C: or sometimes by cleaning the disk just prior to the update, so old updates get purged along with user temporary files...
Also, IIRC they came with a trial version of one of the bigger anti-virus packages. If you have been off for a while it often can drag you clear down to have it trying to update in the background while running a scan of darn near everything while getting ready to give you nag windows about updating your license. Most often the best solution to that is to just uninstall it and run on Windows Defender instead.

I would like to thank you for your reply and help.
I dont know..its 8 or 8.1 ..there is no sticker also no license for the windows like all other Laptops 🤦🏻‍♂️
I have installed windows 8.1 and it starts buts something is not right ..1st of all it stayed 20 mins finalising ur settings on the first start..it does nothing..tried opening settings it froze on the settings logo screen and its not like hanging u can easily open task manager to log out and log back in .. add to that nothing is working almost all the drivers are not there..sound, wifi , touchscreen ..nothing its killing me...
I have a 7GB partition named recovery i wounder if i can use that to recover the original windows copy...I think this would be the easiest way

If there hasn't been any big OS updates done then the recovery partition should still be usable to get back to the factory configuration, then you can do needed updates (there will be a lot of them!) and you should be good to go again. Systems from Windows 8 on don't have stickers with the activation key on them, the key is now stored in the BIOS and part of the UEFI boot and a key is no longer needed. I know in the latter days of Windows 7 Microsoft and some manufacturers were having a real issue with people stealing the key off new systems to activate another system before the new one could be put in service.
    1. Turn on your computer and press <Alt> + <F10> during startup. A. screen appears asking you to choose the keyboard layout.
    2. Several options are now presented. Click Troubleshoot.
    3. Click either Refresh your PC or Reset your PC.
Give that a try and see if the recovery partition is up to snuff...
