Switch SA5-271: Random shutdowns while on full battery

Struggling to understand why my machine randomly crashes while on battery power. Charge is full but power simply ceases and the machine dies. Restarts require external power and the machine seems stable while ob external power. The system tools declare the battery is in good condition, but there is no pinhole for a forced reset. I've read the threads and there doesn't actually seem to be a solution addressing this issue - unless I've misses it and you can point me to it.

I'm thinking of it as I write but maybe it only happens when working online - eg in Chrome or a connected game. Experiments required to verify.

Anyone with guidance?

You can recalibrate the battery by going through several full discharge / recharge cycles. Double check in advanced power setting to see what it does on low and critical battery events. Are there entries in Event Viewer when the crash happens? Is it actually a crash, or just a power off?

I have the same thing happening.  Thought it was a battery issue, but not sure now.  Once I plug the tablet back in, and turn it back on, the battery level is the same before it shut down (last time it was 84%). I checked the Event Viewer and saw something about a "Kernel-Power" something or other that may correspond with this happening.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Kernel-Power events are often caused by drivers that ask for more power than actually required for the device. If it needs a little bit, but the driver asks for -1 things get weird. :) Are there any other entries associated with those?

Hello the problem with my acer switch (Im actually typing with it) is that after I disconnect it it turns itself off.   Ive read many forums on the subject but nothing seems to work.  I have changed the power options about never turning itself off, never hibernate, always on, many many things.  I reformated it and nothing. Ive checked the battery using  the battery info program and it shows that battery´s health to be 184%  and the light turns from orange to off when full.   The original OS was windows 8.1 and later it updated to Windows 10 which might be te problem.   I love the little machine, the keyboard, the battery lasted for 7 hours, never got hot, the screen is perfect buuuut, the problem with the battery is driving me nuts.  I checked the charge with a multi-meter and is fine.   I hope someone can help me.   Thank you
