Upgrading to Windows 10 on Travelmate 5744

Hello,
I would like to ask if anyone still owning a Travelmate 5744 has experience with running Windows 10 on it? Now that Windows 7 is being discontinued and it won't get any security updates anymore, I'd like to upgrade, though I don't know if it is worth it, if my notebook can't run Win10.

For Windows 10 home just pay attention to the issue of more RAM, as it is a resource much used by the system.
Your model supports up to 8GB of RAM.
That's why I suggest an upgrade.
    The default is DDR3 1066Mhz.
Use CPU-z to certify yours installed.
In addition, the other hardware will buy Windows 10.

Hi, thank you for the quick reply. My laptop is the Acer TravelMate5744 Model BIC50 (TM5744Z).

Also, I just saw that this is the wrong sub-forum, sorry 'bout that.

Many thanks, I will seek an upgrade! I still have a copy of Windows 10, so that part shouldn't be a problem.

    Thank you again!

No, no need to pull the battery, just go into the BIOS, press F9 to reset to defaults and then F10 to save and exit.
