bought aspire 5 (a515-51g), its been 6 months I have to carry it college everyday, yet I cared to fullest, its been several days its left side hinge got loose, and after 2 or 3 days when i opened again plastic started to come out of it, and this stayed for a week, thought to give at service center last night at at night when I was closing lid plastic peeled off from hinge side and half of the side came out, and I also saw reviews in community forum so many people had same issue, Yet another thing is indian service centers are worst than nightmare, not just for particular its same for every company or product. Hoping a genuine reply from Acer community.

Although this is the Warranty Contact page, you can try going to one of these offices to request assistance in person.
If none of the regional offices are willing to help, you can order this front bezel for ₹1,315.7, which is a good value when international shipping was free. Upon refreshing the page, another ₹2925.4 was added for shipping. That is too expensive on a student's budget. The video below illustrates repair of the hinge area. You will need a glue gun & duct tape.

Most welcome.  The device should be covered under the 1 year warranty.  Try the first link to arrange for the warranty repair.  If the Warranty Department refuses to help, then try one of the regional offices to plead your case in person.  If that also fails, you should be able to fix the problem yourself, even if it does not look as nice as a new bezel.  Best of luck.

I had the same problem same laptop. Left hinge first felt a bit looser than normal. After a while the plastic on top piece separated. That was the moment I requested a reparation. The screen couldn't close anymore because it would have broken even further. So i shipped it with the lid still open at around 30° angle. Ofcourse I made sure to support it with foam. After a while I received an email with a price quote of 150 euro. If i didn't want it repaired and only shipped it back to me it would cost 66 euro. The person who checked my laptop opened the lid without being careful so the plastic did break. My laptop was still in waranty and I didn't do anything weird with it. I contacted the contact center and i showed a picture how it left my house. The person at the contact center was realy nice and because of the picture they took a second look at my laptop and repaired my laptop for free.

Make sure you ALWAYS take pictures when you send somthing to repair.
