Hi all,

I've had this monitor for about 6 months and haven't had this issue until this morning. The onscreen displayed pops up every few seconds and is incredibly distracting.
I don't think it's an issue with my computer, as the display will pop up regardless of if the pc is on or off. I've tried turning the monitor off and on, as well as unplugging it. I also reset the display settings, issue still occurs.

Is there a way to lock the OSD out or prevent it from popping up?

Thanks

Well, I'm drawing a blank then... It's likely something in that circuit that handles the button presses, but I don't know if it's on the daughter card that holds the buttons or the main board. Time to get in tough with Acer support and let them have their way with it. Let us know what they find.

Any chance the button is sticking?

I don't think so, there's nothing pressed up against the monitor and all the buttons feel normal when pressed.
Also, it's two different menus that pop up- the main OSD menu, and then the gaming mode menu. When it happens, those two seem to alternate so if they were sticking it would be two different buttons.

TLDR: It's something with the circuitry.
This ghost pushing started happening after I turned off the monitor and back on within about 30 seconds. Later in the day after getting RMA approval and dreading the  20+ day turn around time I bought an ASUS monitor. Still having the annoyance I rapidly pressed the power button fast enough that the monitor never actually shut off. So far the ghost OSD popups have stopped.
