When it shipped low brightness test it only lasted 10 minutes, go to gaming, the minute i enter a game off power (this is at 100%) It shuts down. I have resulted into using the cord 24/7. If there is ANY way to fix this myself plz guide me thru and good places to go for maybe better batterys. This is the Predator Helios 300, my model also came with a killed microphone. Please tell me how to fix these two problems, try being solutions available at home, since COVID-19 is closing places to fix these issues.

You can try performing the instructions from the link below:
    https://acer--tst.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/34843/~/acer-internal-battery-reset

I suspect that could be a problem with the battery or possibly some other hardware fault, that can't be fixed without sending it to the service centre, unfortunately.

About the microphone, you can check if it is detected or disabled from control panel>sound>recording. You can also update(if already latest version you can remove and re-install the driver) the sound driver to the latest version.

Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

This is an Acer Predator Helios 300 2018. It does not have a pinhole at the bottom of the PC.
