Not sure what exactly is causing this but my screen, when using applications for about the past week has become visually distorted/scrambled. Below is a picture of what it looks like in an application,
but it does this in lots of different things.

    Looks like Corrupted Graphic card drivers
    Update your Nvidia driver from here
    https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us#
    download it to your desktop but don’t install it yet.

    Download and install DDU (don’t run it yet) to do a clean uninstall of your current Nvidia drivers
    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

    Reboot into Safe Mode and run DDU then reboot into Normal Mode and install the Nvidia drivers that you downloaded in the first step.

    Now configure the Nvidia control panel
    Go to the Nvidia control center and click Manage 3d settings tab, then click the Global Settings tab and change Preferred Graphics processor from Auto select to your Nvidia GPU, do this by clicking the downward arrow to the right of Auto Select and select the Nvidia GPU. Then under the Program Settings tab select the programs and games that you want to run on the Nvidia GPU. Do the same under the Set PhysX Configuration tab

    Just chiming in to say that this is happening to me as well, usually after switching to an external monitor etc, immediately after installing the latest 445.75 drivers. Going to revert to the previous drivers and see how I go. My fans also won't drop below about 4.6k either recently but that might be a separate problem.

    @Guessologist
     I am hoping the issue is the driver and once the next update is released it is fixed, I am not even sure how to revert to a previous release of the drivers.
