How to determine if my laptop battery is faulty or my power adaptor Acer VN7-592G-7825

Hopefully I'm in the right place. I have an Acer VN7-592G-7825 laptop. The battery does not complete charging, stopping at 61%. That said I can not disconnect from the mains without the laptop switching off. I'm not sure if the battery is faulty or there is some problem with the power adaptor not feeding enough power to recharge the battery properly?

I suspect its the battery that said but I wondered if there was some means of checking before I source a replacement part?

The procedure will remove static energy from the device and reset the energy base in the cells to recalibrate them.

Well I ran the report and it said Battery #0. I'm guessing that's a fault. Now to see if I can source a replacement part. Thanks again for your help.

Sadly its still not working. I had a faulty battery once before with my wife's Lenovo. Hopefully I can source a replacement off Ebay. Appreciate the help.
